Wash Blood
02:11
|
|||
You did go to
Wash blood from your hands
What comedy
The water would turn red
The silver
Up and down in the water
Bobbing
To remind you of something familiar
Did the ink spill
When you reached up to guard your face?
Did your mountains
Crumble in their place?

Care
04:23
|
|||
The smell of the walls
Was ripping through my chest
Lifting my breath up
Into where I left my bed
And the sun was so bright
When I walked onto the porch
When the cars came quickly
And the lights became red
And we're out of here
Left so much faster that we came
Our bags in our arms
We know we have to catch this plane
If the city burns
We won't know until we reach the ground
If you hurt
We might not care now
Tears yet to be spent
Are filling up my shoes
So that I cannot walk
Without falling in the pool
And I feel like I'm floating
Between three places
Torn at the seams and
No replaces

Wait It Out
02:40
|
|||
Let's tear apart the pages and feed them to each other
And sit and watch the old sign posts as they rust
So we'll wait
Wait it out
What else is there to do?
Let's talk
Let's talk about
How much I miss the old you
I found a picture of you and I when we were younger
It fell apart in my hand like a pile of dust

Ships Gone
06:31
|
|||
I came to staring at the beach the waves over me and seeping into my eyes
I understand now why you left the docks are all empty and there's not a single ship left
I don't know to what part of the world you could have taken me to without bringing a disease
Please
Don't pity me
Don't think like that
Oh who were we
Please just keep going
I'll help you out
I'll push the boat
Just don't worry about my body it will fall into the soil
Maybe some day I can hope to become something useful like a plant

The Plague
04:22
|
|||
A man dressed for the plague
He sees me walking
Upon his grave
His arm weighs him a ton
Birds are now falling
On everyone
Darkness claws at my life
Writhing and wriggling
I'm dressed in lights
A man dressed for the war
Breathing through filters
Forevermore
His feet singe where he walks
He only burns
He cannot talk
He sees a rose colored lens
The sick they are dying
Their limbs they will bend
A vitruvian man
Is floating through space
Eating his hands
The sun will burn out this may
But we still have time
To see another day
Now you've let me down
The fires are burning
Explosions downtown
Feathers caught in your throat
Not like it matters
You don't breathe anymore
Tendrils and these spines
Dark and disgusting
They stick to your eyes
Now there's no sounds to hear
Turn off the lights
I'm leaving you here

The Hand
05:36
|
|||
I came to a turn in the countryside and I found a hand coming up from the snow
Its visions transferred in my mind were abundant and filled me with dread that did grow
It's cold, gray fingers did twitch and did linger,
pointing to where I should go
It's skin, frozen, broke apart and blood bursting from a heart
That had not been there had been gone since before I could know
In time I did find that I had done a crime which I
Quite simply could not recall
The scent of its oily blood from the ground
made me think of a day in the fall
When church bells were ringing and all bees were stinging
away in the rhyme of it all
I had done a thing so monstrous and lingering
of presence it shook my knees so I would have to crawl
I breathed in the snow and I felt quite alive
in my realization of death
I stood and did travel for over a mile to
where I had finally left
There in my unholy acts of unruly
anarchistic hateful routine
I died a thousand times until I could find
A reason to do so for real

Unholy Pestilence
03:17
|
|||
Unholy pestilence
Arrived on a ship with us
It came to a land untouched
Unloading the barrels
And crates down the stairs
Don't fall in the water
The leeches will crawl on their
Bellies unmoving to
Suck all the life from you
When you cast off from our
Port just remember that
Your names will be remembered for all time
And you said you could stop how our
Elderly tumble and
Rings on our skin as they
Eat at our soul and you
Watch from a distance
Sending only the worst
Looking creatures to aid us
If you have a quarantine
Just set up a way that you
Box us all in with the
Smell of the cows in the
Mountains is death and we've
forgotten a life without
A horrible feeling
Of life without healing
Of wounds we would scratch and
Would bleed unending
With spots all spreading
Into our eyes and our minds
